Smoke Through It is a unique smoked German lager in the rauchbock style, brewed with alderwood smoked malt and triticale, and aged in hickory smoked whiskey barrels for one year. There is also a quantity of applewood whiskey barrel aged brown porter in this blend. Look forward to a deeply autumnal brew carrying the essence of the season. It is bronze toned, creamy headed, and peppy in the glass. Aromas of roasted chestnut, toffee, and extinguished campfire precede layers of earthy spice and vanilla, wet oak and brandy, and bready old world lager yeast in the flavor. This beer is loaded with a refined smoke complexion, profound minerality, and a surprisingly delicate texture, bold yet tempered. The blend has been fully refermented in the bottle and will reward patient cellaring.
