Politics & God is the heavy stuff, a colossal American wheatwine with specialty wheat malt comprising nearly 60% of its total grain bill. After a slow and patient fermentation, the beer was matured in Old Elk wheated bourbon barrels for ten months. A rich and leggy mahogany liquid that will present aromas of rustic wood fired bread, raisin, and bruleed maple sugar, and deliver flavors of toasted almond, tanned leather, and waxy raw honey sweetness. This is the fullest possible expression of wheat in a beer, and the barrels were carefully selected to enhance the essential properties of the grain. The drink is long, wooden, and warms thoroughly from the inside out. Politics & God is timeless and infinite, and will respond accordingly to extended cellaring.
