Midnight Cuvée is a special blend many years in the making. It contains five distinct barrel aged dark beers from different vintages in varying proportion. A milk stout with cocoa nibs aged in bourbon barrels, a Russian imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels, a classic brown porter aged in applewood whiskey barrels, an imperial schwarz bier aged in port wine barrels, and an imperial stout aged in port wine barrels. The final blend is a satin dark chocolate color with moderate viscosity, oak driven with diverse malt layers, warming alcohol, refined maturity, and undertones of bitter baking chocolate, dried cherry and raisin, vanilla bean, dark toast, and unlit cigar. Complex, woody, and wintery. Midnight Cuvée is bottle conditioned and is suitable for indefinite cellaring.
