Berginer Weisse

A gin inspired blended Imperial Berliner Weisse aged in Hells Canyon Chardonnay Reserve barrels for six months and conditioned on an absurd bouquet of fresh gin botanicals including juniper, coriander, caraway, cardamom, nutmeg, orris root, star anise, mint, orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit. This frosted blonde wheat based brew hits like a Gin & Tonic, with clean herbal interest driven by juniper, pithy and zesty lemon forward citrus, and potent medicinal character. Beyond that are white grape and muscat nuances from the barrel fermented chardonnay treatment, subtle yeastiness and enlivening tartness indicative of a classic Berliner, and soft creamy oak, layered spice cabinet complexity, and a clean puckery zip to finish.
