Since 1996

Sockeye Brewing began in 1996 in Boise, Idaho. In that first year we yielded less than one hundred barrels and served our beer mostly in our small taproom. Since then, Sockeye has grown and expanded considerably. In 2023 we will produce about 10k barrels of beer and have it for sale by our distributor partners statewide in Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and in Eastern Oregon. We are proud to offer some of the most recognized ales and lagers in the Northwest, and we remain as dedicated to innovation, refinement, and excellence as we have been since day one. We operate two locations in Boise. At the Grill and Brewery on Fairview Avenue, we do all of our brewing and packaging, as well as offer a menu that was recently recognized as “The Best Pub Food in Idaho” by Taste of Home. The brewhouse features 40bbl and 7bbl brew systems and a talented group of brewers and production experts with decades of experience, while the restaurant boasts a comfortable family atmosphere with two large patios, a fully restored 1883 railcar trolley for private events, and are constantly changing weekly specials, events, and beer lineups. At our brand new Alehouse on Garden Center Way, we offer upscale pub cuisine, a full liquor bar with innovative rotating cocktails in addition to our beers, a challenging nine-hole indoor putting course, and a large patio for outdoor dining.
