The Sockeye Way
We have been brewing some of the most recognizable ales and lagers in the Intermountain West since 1996. We are exceedingly proud of our now 30-year history that has seen us evolve from a plucky early craft upstart to a decorated regional stalwart. It continues to be a source of great joy that this passion project has been shaped so profoundly by so many dedicated people, and humbly served the communities and wild spaces we are connected to.
For Sockeye, beer is a vehicle for storytelling, for friendship, for communion and community, and we invite you to join us for all of it as we embark on our next 30 years. Cheers!
But we still have places to go.
At the Brewery
Even after all this time, we have never been more driven to create something new, something better, to continue to learn and push ourselves and our liquid to new heights. We make decisions as a team, share the workload, and cooperate deeply across departments. We are relentless in our exploration of new ingredients and supply chain partners, eager experimenters in the brewhouse and students of the trade, and impossibly dedicated to quality at every stage of production and packaging. Our goal is to offer a diverse range of beers and beyond beer options that excite the palate, celebrate local agriculture, and are inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Sustainability at Our Core
In addition to quality, innovation, and teamwork, sustainability and giving back are also key pillars of our business. We are heavily invested in bettering the places where we make, sell, and drink beer. Over the years this has included a constant focus on charitable giving in areas of river health and conservation, watershed protection, and habitat security both for wild salmon and for humans. It has also meant a brand new wastewater system on site, upcycling spent grain to local farmers, and bringing Salmon Safe ingredients to the brewhouse. Our work in these areas is ongoing, and a central part of our identity.
Affiliations
At Sockeye, we realize it takes strong partners to craft the best beer we possibly can, to reliably deliver it around our network, and to make the world a better place as we do it. We are proud of and thankful for the farmers, growers, and supply chain folks we source from, of our distributor network in our six state sales footprint, and also of the work our nonprofit partners are doing day in and day out. These are some of the best people in the business, and we could not do it without them. Check out some of the groups we collaborate with from supply side to wholesalers and nonprofits.
