Sockeye Woolybugger Wheat

Sockeye Woolybugger Wheat

Cast away your cares with this tasty American-style wheat beer. Woolybugger Wheat pays homage to hooking a native fighter at a high-mountain lake or on a pristine river. Sockeye’s home state of Idaho boasts 1,000 miles of America’s finest wild and scenic rivers.

Some say no other fly has been carried as far and wide as the Woolybugger. It is praised for its versatility in waters across continents and for its ability to entice the most fickle fish so it comes out of hiding and bites down hard and fast. We have fans of this American-style wheat beer who react the same way, making this a fitting name for this hook of an ale.

An easy-drinking beer, Woolybugger is an ideal companion at your favorite fishing spot. It’s light bodied and smooth, with a subtle hop bite and a touch of sweetness, along with a bready wheat-malt character.

Sockeye Dagger Falls IPA

Sockeye Dagger Falls IPA

Our award winning, flagship beer was first brewed in 2002, and was available on tap at our brewpub as well as area establishments pouring Idaho handcrafted beers. Today, it is widely available in Idaho, and crossed the border into Northeast Washington. In Idaho, Dagger Falls is the #1-selling Idaho-made beer. In 2013, our cans on Idaho grocery shelves proved to be hugely popular: Dagger Falls IPA was #13 in best-selling new craft beers in U.S. supermarkets!*

Long-time fans of this beer are now enjoying it in easy-traveling 12-ounce cans. This perfect portability for outdoor adventure brings to mind river trips in the Idaho wilderness, where Sockeye beer was first dreamed up—so perfect!

Idaho’s Middle Fork of the Salmon is an incredible multi-day whitewater experience. It is a federally designated Wild and Scenic River and one must secure a permit in an annual lottery for raft or kayak runs. Our IPA is named after Dagger Falls, the first of 300 raftable rapids along this pristine stretch of whitewater.

This beer boasts five different hop varieties, each contributing its own unique character to create citrus and pine-like hop flavors and aromas consistent of a true Northwest-style IPA. Abundant hop aroma prepares the palate for the equally intense hop bite and flavor that lingers in this rich, hoppy beer.

* 2013 Brewers Association list of best-selling new craft beer brand based on sales in U.S. supermarkets; #13 in entire U.S., even though it was only sold in Idaho!
